About us

Çetele · Last updated: 20 October 2026

Çetele is a mobile app that keeps the till, costs, stock, appointments and members for small businesses. Shops record purchases, batches, sales, waste and counts; hair and nail salons, barbers, skin care, physiotherapists and psychologists keep appointments; pilates studios and courses keep members, packages and classes. Çetele works out what you earned, where the money went and how long stock lasts, and with Çetele Pro you publish your prices to customers on a QR page.

Who makes it

Çetele is made in Türkiye by Emre Barış. On the App Store the developer is listed as Yunus Emre Barış, on Google Play as Emre Barış. Emre also writes the guides on this site.

Why

Business owners ask the same questions every day: what does this cost me, how long will the stock last, did we cover the rent this month? Çetele is built to answer them from the records you enter. Write down a purchase, a sale, an appointment or a class once; Çetele works out the cost, the till and how long the stock will last.

How we work

  • Recording and alerts are free; the till, costs and reports continue with a Çetele Pro subscription after the first 40 entries. It is not accounting, invoicing or point-of-sale software.
  • There are no ads in the app.
  • Your data is not sold or used for marketing; it is stored on servers in the European Union. Details in the Privacy Policy.
  • Çetele doesn't use AI; every figure is worked out from the records you enter.

Where the name comes from

A çetele is a tally: notches cut into a stick or lines drawn on paper to keep count of something. In Turkish, “çetele tutmak”, keeping a çetele, still means keeping count. The app does the same job for a business: you write each record down once, and it keeps the count.

Where it runs

On iPhone, iPad and Android; free to download from the App Store and Google Play. The first version came out on the App Store on 30 September 2026, and Çetele has been on Google Play since 14 October 2026. The app is in 13 languages.
