Fabric is bought by the metre, buttons by the piece, thread by the spool.

Enter every material in its own unit: metres, pieces, kilos, spools. Çetele keeps unit cost accordingly; if a shirt takes 1.6 m of linen and 7 buttons, the cost per piece comes from there.

The wholesaler raised prices, your price list is old.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep fabric stock in metres and buttons in pieces?

Yes. Enter every material in its own unit: metres, pieces, kilos, litres, spools. Çetele tracks unit cost at purchase, usage in batches and what's left in stock in the same unit.

How do I work out the sewing cost of a shirt?

Enter the shirt's recipe once: how many metres of fabric, how many buttons, how much thread and labelling. As you enter material purchases, prices update and cost per piece is recalculated by itself. You see the profit margin against your selling price on the Products screen.

How do I record cutting offcuts?

Enter the offcut fabric as “Something was wasted” in metres; Çetele works out its value at that day's unit price. The waste report shows the total loss for the week and the material with the most waste.

Does Çetele handle contract production and order tracking?

No. Çetele doesn't track orders, deadlines or customers, and doesn't issue invoices. It's a simple helper that works out cost, stock and profit from the purchases, batches, sales and waste you record.

Çetele works for any small shop that buys materials and makes things, or buys goods and resells them.
